Isadore "Issy" Williams
Mr. Isadore Williams has
been a part of the Fleur de Lis family for more than 50 years. He
began working for the original owners at age fifteen, at the old
Italian Gardens on Convention Street. Mr Williams left the Italian
Gardens to spend two years serving in the U.S. Navy during World
War II.
Shortly after returning
from the War, he came to work at the Fleur de Lis, where he
learned to make the special sauce, dough, and Italian Sausage from
scratch, as it is still made today, and soon became the main pizza
chef.
Now, semi-retired, Isadore
still keeps a close eye on the goings on at the Fleur de Lis,
while visiting with long-time customers and friends.
